Took an associate for breakfast. Slow service made worse by woman behind counter barking orders at wait staff. My omelet was not completely cooked. I did not dare say anything. I would go back to see if this was an issolated occourance.

This is a little gem. Very clean, affordable, and the food tastes homemade. When I was there over the weekend I ordered biscuits and gravy, eggs over easy, and grits. The gravy really tasted like sausage and I even detected a hint of sage. Delicious. My eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband ordered a meal with bacon. The bacon is plain, not thick or anything, but it was nicely crisped. Our servers were all quite friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

I am definitely going to have to come back here and give it a second chance, but based on my first experience I was really put off. The main thing that bothered me was the over charging. I ordered a broccoli and cheddar omelette. I changed the cheddar to american and they charged me a dollar for the change. They also charged each of us an extra dollar for a biscuit instead of toast, after they told us we could supplement it. So a 7.50 omelette came to be 9.50, with no extra additions. It's not that big of a difference but it still kind of bothered me. These omelettes are very thin so they have a more fried flavor than other restaurants I go to. Mine was very runny on the inside, which made it inedible for me. The biscuits were good and so were the homefries. My boyfriends hashbrowns reminded me of the ones at Denny, but he seemed to like the omelette. The coffee was good, although I had to walk up to the counter to get a refill. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The woman, who I presume owns it, asked us how we found them and seemed generally interested in if we enjoyed the meal. I didn't have the heart to tell her about the eggs, but I probably should have. I did like the small business feel of it.

Our first visit here, and we were pleased. Very friendly local diner. Everything was VERY clean, and the staff makes you feel like you are having breakfast in Grandma's kitchen. Food was fresh and tasty, and reasonably priced for South Florida. We will definitely be back for seconds!

Eat here more than once and you're part of the family! Classic diner fare nicely prepared. No attitude here, just really friendly staff doing their thing. Consistently good food! Everyone is welcomed.

I went here this morning based on the reviews and it didn't fail. The place was just what I was looking for. Homey local place where the cook and waitress knew everyone that came in. Lots of laughter and my eggs with biscuits and gravy and tater tots were spot on. I took an extra order of biscuits and gravy to go for my honey and he enjoyed them too. The place got really busy as 9am closed in and I knew it was the place for bfast in the area.

It's been a few months since we've returned here because we used to frequent as the breakfast was decent and the girls were nice. The last time we came we were really shocked at the comparison of what we experienced prior... we both ordered different breakfasts and they both were actually horrible. Eggs cooked like rubber. Pancakes tasted like sawdust. Burnt bacon sitting out obviously from the day before. And what really got us both vowing to never return is that they were fast to slap the check on the table clear the table and not mention anything about the 2 full plates we didn't eat. I'd avoid this because everyone says family restaurant but it is def not nearly half as good as the McDonald's across the street. Those strip mall diners all for some reason have the same overall in and out mentality in ways of serving people who just walk in from the pawn shop next door. Like to hear if they've changed or are continuing down hill.

I love this place, the owner Cathy is great and friendly, she makes all the pies, cakes and all specialty breads. On Thursday's she makes homemade turkey dinners with all the fixings, plus pie $13.95 you cannot beat that. All meats and poultry comes daily fresh from "Smithy 's Meat Market". Breakfast and lunch, both great, and prices are reasonable, where else can you get a cheese burger with choice of salad of the day or fries, tots etc. for $6.95? Everyone is family here! Stop by for a bite whilst in the area. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

First time here. Table of five handsome men sit down before us. Server spent most of his time at the table explaining specials, choices and chatting endlessly. We waited for 15 mins before he asked what we wanted to drink. Brought our coffee and simply asked " so you know what you want"? No specials, no choices, no chatting..... No return ......

This is a cutesy little cafe/diner that is good for breakfast. The waitresses make you feel at home the whole time you are there with Southern type charm. We have been there two times which says a lot.

I love the Over Easy Cafe. Great staff and delicious food. My favorite is the sausage gravy and biscuits with tater tots, but I have had many other menu items and everything has been delicious! Coffee is fabulous, sweet tea is also delicious. Very reasonable prices too.

In the neighborhood at a business and decided due to the non-cooperation of the weather today that I will locate a place to order. After asking those familiar with the area; they suggested this diner. I goggled and called and was sold from the happy and welcoming customer service via phone. I chose the breakfast special. theovereasy.com Please call to check the price for your item of choice prior to order. Delivery charge of $1.50 (not bad).

Awesome place with exceptional service! The food is always delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the wait is never long. All of the staff are very accommodating and have a great sense of humor. I will go here over Denny's or IHOP any day!

Great food, great service. I give a five star because it meets all my expectations for a breakfast diner. Very homey atmosphere.

Great breakfast joint. Friendly service, good food, and reasonable prices. The waitstaff are efficient and friendly. Food is prepared perfectly. It seems to be crowded all the time and there is a reason why. I have eaten there at least ten times and never had a bad meal.

This is one of the worst restaurants in Fort Lauderdale, Bar None. Service isn't good, and neither is the food. They didn't have sausage, and their corned beef was awful.

I've been going here for years. Cathy and her husband are the best. So friendly. They have the best biscuits and gravy. Omg!!! Delish.

We first went here a few years ago on our never ending quest to find new breakfast places. This is now a place we frequent on the weekends. We love the specials because they always have something new and usually seasonal. Last year we went there for my first Mother's Day and my breakfast was completely free. So sweet and unexpected! It's family owned and they are always so friendly and welcoming. They also have the best biscuits and sausage gravy in town!

Belly Buster breakfast of fluffy biscuits, sausage gravy, two eggs, four slices of bacon, and tater tots ($9.95) was fantastic! The sausage gravy had a perfect amount of fennel. Waitress was a super friendly gal! Wish I had known about this place before we head out of the country.... Only made it once, but I'm a fan...!

Breakfast was really good, quick, and cheap. I'm surprised it's not so busy with all the cheapskates in the area. Maybe it needs scantily clad twinks in speedos dancing on the counter. I'll be back for sure.

How can anyone not be a fan of this place? It's just a diner one might think, but it's more than that. It's a place where friendly locals make friends, meet each others and engage in conversation over a simple breakfast or lunch, nicely prepared on a six foot hot grill right in front of you while you wait. It doesn't take long before you get to know the names of others and others get to know your name too. Easy Over, to me, exemplifies the American Diner tradition of enjoying fairly simple food at a budget price while catching up on the local gossip and indulging in the American bottomless cup of coffee. Yes, you're probably going to hear about someones husbands recent heart attack, the death of an uncle, the story of a small time lottery winner, some Guy's bad rap for drunken driving, and that so and so's wife was caught cheating, but that's all part of the diner experience and part of what they are about. The service is super friendly and as far as food goes, of much better proportion and quality than are most diners. This isn't the typical greasy spoon and they have a number of specials such as the Cuban Omelet, thin grilled hash browns and other such items rarely seen in other Lauderdale diners.

IF I was to have a local place... this is it. Cheap and Cheerful! A place where you can get daily specials and good juice about what is happening around town. Cathy is very eager to make something good...

If you're very hungry don't look to over easy cafe. The food is mediocre, most items are over priced for greasy spoon diner food and if they are the slightest bit busy they get completely overwhelmed. It could take 45 minutes only to receive burnt food. On a good day the service is cold and impersonal, and on a busy day completely rude. I have given them chance after chance, telling myself everyone has bad days. Unfortunately most if their days seem to be bad days.

It's ok. Nothing good, nothing bad. I certainly won't be running back anytime soon. There are certainly better in Fort Lauderdale.

I live in the neighbor hood and eat at the Over easy calf. Kathy is always friendly and welcomes people to celebrate small parties at the diner. The food is always good and price fairly.

I stopped in for Sunday breakfast and went with my old standby - blueberry pancakes. The service is wonderful, and the cafe is clearly adored by the locals. The pancakes were good, well prepared, appropriately portioned, and very inexpensive. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out!

Quaint place with uber friendly staff! Felt like I was part of a family. I give it 3 stars only because I ordered the hash for breakfast and it was from a can (I was warned in advance).
